A diversity of requests from our lovely customers recently got us thinking about the range of easily remedied but nevertheless annoying and inconvenient problems which halt mobility.
There was the chap wanting a lift into Carnforth to buy some jump leads.

Solved that one by pitching up with a Booster Box and starting the reluctant motor. He very generously donated the price of the leads….
A lady in Arnside was troubled by a semi deflated tyre, but despite the impressive physique of the man in her life, the wheels nuts were not responding to the spanner in the ‘tool kit’. Again, the request was for transport to procure an appropriate wheel-brace.

The application of our ‘breaker bar’ quickly remedied the issue, so the expense of an unnecessary purchase and journey was saved.
Finally, mention of the elderly gent (with mobility issues) troubled by mice. Called in at DIY Supplies, New Street, Carnforth to procure a couple of Little Nippers and popped them through the Gent’s letterbox.
So, while not wishing to replicate either the AA or Pest Control, always willing to think outside the box and try to oblige.
Which might include:
Weak battery starting (after period of non-use, like a holiday) with booster box.
Wheel nut slackening and fitting of spare wheel (if available).
Tyre inflation to extinguish the low-pressure warning light.
Lift with flat tyre to service station for attention.
